Subject by the name of Mark Brown is calling people in Guadalupe County claiming to be a Guadalupe County Deputy. This person is telling the people that they have a warrant or owe the Sheriff's Office money. This person will ask that you get the payment usually with a green dot money card. At no time will the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office request you send gift card information over the phone, nor will they ask you to make a payment period. This subject is spoofing the number which will show up as a Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office number. The best thing to do is to simply hang up the phone, as subject will be irate when you do not comply.
