Open Records
Open records requests must be made in writing to the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office. There may be fees for the open records, depending upon the information that is requested.
Records may be requested at the Lobby of the Sheriff's Office, 2617 N. Guadalupe Street, Seguin, TX 78155, Monday through Friday between 8am and 5pm.
You may download the Open Records Request form and send it to the Sheriff's Office by regular mail or the following email address: so.openrecords@guadalupetx.gov .
You will be contacted if fees are required, which must be paid prior to the release of records. The Sheriff's Office can only accept cash for the exact amount or credit card payment. Open records request can take up to ten (10) business days to process.

If you are requesting a report for a vehicle collision, you will need to process the request through TXDOT's Crash Records Information System (C.R.I.S.). Majority of all law enforcement agencies complete and submit the collision report through C.R.I.S. The report may not be available at the Sheriff's Office through open records.
