Sheriffs Citizen Academy

 

The first-ever Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff's Citizen Academy began on May 6th, 2025. This class met every Tuesday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM for ten weeks. The training took place at the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office. The program covered all aspects and operations of the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office. The second class will tentatively take place in March of 2026, and we will begin taking applications in January of 2026. Stay tuned!

 

Requirements:

1. Valid Driver's License or Texas Identification Card

2. Must Pass a back ground check

3. Must provide own transportation to and from the Sheriff's Office

4. Must be a resident of Guadalupe County, Texas

 

Classes are capped at twenty students. If you are interested in more detail and/or attending, please contact Sergeant Travis Caddell. Applications will be open for a set period of time starting in January of 2026.
