Applicant must have an Associate's Degree in Business or in a computer related discipline 1-2 years of responsible work experience using computers or a High School graduation and its equivalent with 4-5 years of responsible work experience using computers or, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Applicant must have high school diploma or GED. Knowledge and experience in domesticated animals, wildlife and livestock helpful. Must be willing to work shift work and be available for on-call status.

Adult Detention Officer
 
 
 

Must have a High School Diploma or GED and have no criminal record. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Preferably some jail experience and you must have a current Texas Driver License.

Patrol Deputy Sheriff
 
 
 

This position patrols roads in Guadalupe County to prevent crime and enforce laws and regulations while responding to emergency calls and routine complaints. Essential job duties include: • Keeps record of activities and makes reports concerning crimes, complaints, accidents and investigations • Gathers and labels evidence, takes photographs and fingerprints, guards and transports prisoners and testifies in court • Questions witnesses and suspects and takes statements and depositions • Issues traffic citations, pursues and apprehends suspects and makes arrests Applicant must be a Certified Peace Officer with the State of Texas and be willing to work shift work.
