On 10/14/2021, Guadalupe County experienced several inches of rain that led to flash flooding in the area.  The Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office responded to four (4) calls reference water over the road and twenty two (22) calls that led to water rescues.  Guadalupe County Deputies and crews with the Guadalupe County Road & Bridge Department checked known low water crossings and placed barriers out to close down roadways.

With the assistance of several local Volunteer Fire Departments, to include McQueeney VFD, New Berlin VFD, Sandhills VFD, Kingsubury VFD and Marion VFD and the Guadalupe County Fire Marshal's Office, all of those individuals trapped in vehicles or stranded within the water were successfully rescued.  We would also like to thank the other agencies within the County, such as the Santa Clara Marshal's Office and the Marion Police Department, for their help with handling these incidents.
