Two Arrested, Drugs Seized

On March 3, 2022, The Guadalupe County Narcotics Task Force (GCNTF) conducted a narcotics investigation into Ernest FLORES, who was suspected of selling large amounts of methamphetamine. During the course of the investigation, the GCNTF observed the suspected vehicle in the Seguin city limits. Seguin Police Department Officer G. Aguilar and Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office Deputy H. Saenz began following the vehicle as it traveled South on S Guadalupe St. Officer Aguilar observed the driver, Brittany Lynn RIOS, commit a traffic violation at the intersection of S Guadalupe St and W. Nolte St. Officer Aguilar and Deputy Saenz conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of S Guadalupe St. During the traffic stop, Officer Aguilar requested a K9. Seguin K9 Officer C. Deagen arrived shortly after and utilized his K9 partner, "Cooper", to conduct a free air sniff around the vehicle. "Cooper" alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. Officers on scene conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and found approximately 260 grams of Methamphetamine and Alprazolam Pills, which had an audit weight of 1.6 grams. Furthermore, there was a two month old baby in the backseat of the vehicle as the two transported the large amount of narcotics.

Brittany Lynn Rios, 22 yoa, Ernest John Flores, 23 yoa, both from San Antonio were arrested for:

Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 greater than 200 grams but less than 400 grams (Methamphetamine)

Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 3 less than 28 grams

Abandon or Endanger of a Child
