update: Also received information that the scammers are calling using the following phone number: 830-327-7711 and stating they are Sgt. Robert Locker. THIS IS A SCAM

The Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office has been made aware that several people in the area have received phone calls from someone claiming to be Officer Smith with the Sheriff's Office and telling them they have warrants. Then requesting they send money through Venmo and cashier checks. THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT GIVE MONEY ON ANY APP OR ANY OTHER WAY. The phone number that is making this call is 830-491-3028.
