On 3/6/2020, the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office arrested 24 year old Austin Oliver Lang of McQueeney, Texas for Sexual Assault of a Child. In this case, the investigation revealed that there was probable cause to suspect Austin Oliver Lang sexually assaulted a fifteen year old child here in Guadalupe County. Austin Lang bonded out the same day he was arrested on a $100,000 bond.

The Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office has continuing concerns for Austin Oliver Lang as he is a previously convicted sex offender from Kansas. Due to that conviction, Austin Oliver Lang is required to register as a sex offender here in Guadalupe County. This recent arrest demonstrates that Austin Oliver Lang continues to re-offend despite his requirement to register as a sex offender. In the most recent case, Austin Oliver Lang contacted his victim through the application Snap Chat. Austin Oliver Lang has access to other social media as well.

The Sheriff's Office is also concerned that there is a possibility that Austin Oliver Lang has other victims.
