On 3/24/2020, at approximately 9:40 PM Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office K9 Deputy Rafael Pinilla and his K9 partner "Lorby" were patrolling the area of the 7500 block of FM 3009 in Schertz, When he observed 1998 Ford Mustang conduct a traffic offense, nearly causing a crash with other motorist. Deputy Pinilla conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by 2 subjects, Ilene Salinas 39YO of San Antonio, and Victoria Parsley 37YO of San Antonio.  After speaking with the occupants, Pinilla became suspicious and had his K9 Lorby conduct an open air sniff on the vehicle. After receiving a positive alert, a probable cause search was conducted. Pinilla located methamphetamine inside the purse belonging to Parsley.  Salinas was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and heroin. Both subjects were arrested and booked into the Guadalupe County Jail.
