Shooting/Disturbance

UPDATE:  SUBJECT HAS BEEN LOCATED UNHARMED

 

On 3/26/2020 at approximately 2:40AM, Guadalupe County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the 1400 Blk of Potthast Drive for a report of a disturbance/shooting. The caller stated that a male individual had been involved in an altercation and was possibly shot but had left the location on foot.

Deputies on scene were unable to locate a victim but located evidence that a weapon had been fired and witness statements on scene indicated that the victim had possibly been struck by the round. An emergency notification was put out to residents in the area in an effort to make them aware of any individuals in the area that appeared suspicious or injured. We have not determined whether the shooting was intentional or accidental. The Criminal Investigations Division is conducting an investigation into the incident and the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office Robotics Unit also conducted a search of the area by drone.

The victim has been described as a white male, short blonde hair, 5'9 150 lbs wearing a white tank top and khaki shorts. He is said to have heavy visible tattoos on his torso and arms.

This investigation is ongoing and more information will be released at a later time and date when it is available.
