SCAM ALERT

The Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office has been made aware of several people in the area receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be fundraising for the Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office. THIS IS A SCAM! The caller tried to get one person to give their credit card number over the phone for the donation. DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER OVER THE PHONE.

The phone number that was used in this scam is 915-284-6502. When you Google this phone number it shows "A fake police charity robocall."

Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office has not authorized any type of fundraising.
